Booting error

I just added an area, made up a new zon file added it to the index, then I went
to boot up I get a fread_string: format error at or near beginning of zone #99999 . What gives? The format is correct, I have tripled checked everything...I take out the zon index (the new zone that is) and all is fine. I have only 8 zones
done, I know that I can add more so any ideas?...
