xnames bug?

        Hey all...

        Sorry if my messages came through a little disorganized...I'm more or

less a newbie at mailing lists:).

        I'm running Circle 2.2 on a LINUX 0.99.14 box, and the server doesn't

seem to read in the xnames file. For instance, I have "Sysop" listed in the 
file, and it is possible to create a new character with that name. Has any 
experienced this problem? Might it be LINUX specific?
