strdup in alias.c

I just picked up a copy of alias.c from the circle ftp site.  It looks 
good, but I cannot get it to compile, because my version of gcc doesn't 
seem to recognize the function strdup - I thought this was standard with 
all string.h include files?
	Has anyone else experienced this problem when adding the save for 
aliases?  Also, does the newest version of Circle 3.0 that is available 
save aliases and poofin - outs?
