I'm running a mud on test basis over a 28.8 slip, and have had no
problems with speed. (CSLIP that is...). I've even run other
applications as well as having X running (and I've only got 8megs of
ram), and the mudders have not complained about lag at all. I've only
had like 10-15 ppl, but even then have the performance been ok. I guess
the major drawback is that the modem is analog, thus errors occur and line
can drop without much line-noise.
