Seems Ive found a bug. try typing any command, with like 5 - 10 lines for an argument. like: bug mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm The mud will crash.... Yes i know thats an odd example, but imagine a user trying to post a long typo or bug report. Thats where i found the problem. Even things like: kill <extremely long text> its char *argument send to ACMD's that overruns and crashes the mud. This is a rather low level problem, im sure i could hack a fix on my mud,but thought id report it as its a potential problem on everyones mud. especially with users used to say MUSH where descs, and all can be two screems full long. *************************************************************************** * Ron Hensley LordMUD strider@hippy.org * * Computer Programmer eagle.dmv.com strider@dmv.com * * DelMarVa OnLine 4000 complaints@/dev/null * * 749-1111 Ext. 403 * ***************************************************************************
