I was compiling under a.out... then my linux partition got screwed up, so I decided to just nuke it and upgrade, using ELF binaries instead. Well now my mud id crashing on an IOT trap that never happened before, and that's ok, I could gdb it to find the problem... BUT, gdb says this: GDB is free software and you are welcome to distribute copies of it under certain conditions; type "show copying" to see the conditions. There is absolutely no warranty for GDB; type "show warranty" for details. GDB 4.14 (i486-slackware-linux), Copyright 1995 Free Software Foundation, Inc... Couldn't fetch registers from core file: File in wrong format Couldn't fetch registers from core file: File in wrong format #0 0x0 in ?? () Gdb worked fine beforehand... is there something I need to to to allow it to use ELF binaries? WHat did I do wrong here?
