If for some reason you can't or won't use a debugger, take the -g or -ggdb flag out of Makefile and Makefile.in. Your executable will be drastically smaller. I can't remember exact memory savings but it was very signifigant. So if you've debugged all your crashbugs and you're not doing any serious development, it's a good way to conserve resources. Sam
