My point is that it doesn't matter if you're a newbie, you still are talking to real people and standard education works as usual, greet, ask, thanks, wave goodbye. > So i am new to this, i DID read all the files that came along with the > Circle3.0 bpl 11 distribution, and no, i can't find anything about > poofin/poofout in any of them, but since you seem to have, maybe next > time, instead of taking on a superior attitude that deter instead of > encourage, just write 'look in the-whatever-file'. I do know it is in the docs somewhere, because I did know it didnt work when I started up the server (maybe i read it in the list), anyway, you could have made the message a little more polite and maybe also a little more complete, if I were a little more cynic, I would have answered that it doesn't save the poofins/poofouts because it isnt programmed to do so. So you would send another post to ask for code to make them save the thing. I am not arguing about your problem, but about your exposure of it. I haven't fixed it myself because it is not such a high priority for me (most of my users have a note they read, copy, paste when they enter..:) Or define the thing in Tintin or whatever client they use. > That would be a much nicer response, and it would most likely help me a > lot more than basicly being called an idiot. Not so much as an idiot, but as a very rude person..:) I am fighting every day with my Internet users so they realize that sending email is not like sending questions to a computer, that real people are receiving their posts.
