i've had no problem telnetting into myself when on a lan for testing. but on another machine which is set up for dial out networking into an ISP running SLiRP (i'm running it PPP) i am unable to get any tcp/ip terminal program to recognize a local connection (tried netterm, crt, 95's built in telnet, etc.). they all bring up the dialer <sigh...>. i've tried numerous network setups, including giving myself a spoof ip address (and disabling dial out), but no connection takes place in that instance. anybody else in the same situation that has found a way to connect into circle locally for testing?
