If you look at the options bar at the bottom of the screen in pico, you
will notive ^ commands meaning they are ment for control key. You were
refering to finding things, well ^w is whereis and replacing, i have never
heard of an editor that can do that.

#Subject: Text Editor in Linux?
#
#Hello,
#
#I'm just interested in what some of you use for editors in linux. I've
#been using Pico, and have found it to be really annoy sometimes. Is
#there any editor in Linux that allows finding/replacing, or such commands
#that would make a coders job easier?:)
#
#Thanks in advance,
#
#Josh
