jac, try this. grab that timer field on objects, and use it for all object that are dropped. (not the ones loaded onto the ground(disappearing fountains)) And have items stay around for 24*7 tics (a mud week) or roughly 3.5 RL hours assuming 75 second tics and let the corpse timer do the work. Also make sure this timer doesn't get set in HOUSE rooms (make donation one of these). Quite a few times, it's scrolled for a considerable length upon entering the room. This also snowballs, since when a new char enters the game and sees this situation, they're more likely to play 'follow the leader' and quit their own selves adding to the junk equipment in the room.
