I just subscribed to this list, and am terribly sorry if this's already come up and I missed it or something. Though I did do quite a few searches thru the archives on the website:-) All I was getting from the postmaster was 'The Mail system is currently having technical difficulties", whenever I gave it a command in the game. I changed it so that it would append a (2), (3), or (9) to the end of the error message, depending on what fatal error was causing the problem. I got (2) from it next time I tried it. After staring at the code for a while and making no progress I took out the if routines (I added two so it would distinguish between the fatal errors) that checked "no_mail" just to see what would happen... At that point I actually got it to send and receive an e-mail... The only problem was that in place of the message... it told me about the little "Error #11" thingy. So far as I'm able to tell, there's something screwy with the write to file routine, but I don't have much of a clue what it is. If anyone has any suggestions... PLEASE post them. If not, I guess I'll just stare at the code till it comes to me. Which it wont.
