ok... programming is an exact art. if you don't craft your program just so, it won't work. to debug a program you need the actual errors. "two errors about fbuf or something." just doesn't cut it. What are the exact lines and the exact errors? Our crystal balls are broken. obthingy: anyone try to use that gmaster patch? the one of the ftp site for guilds being edited and restricted like shops. You even get to say which skills this master lets someone practice. If you are careful as you patch it in it is a great addition. I would recomend it highly. (just the features it gives, had the darnedest trouble getting it to work because the file reading part doesn't give meaningful errors about where in the guild it died.) --Angus ______________________________ Forward Header __________________________________ Subject: compiling problem Author: INTERNET:CIRCLE@POST.QUEENSU.CA at CSERVE Date: 2/18/98 11:51 AM hey everybody, i use MSVC++ compiler for win95. The other day when i tried to compile the circlemud source (for the first time) it started out ok but when it got to the act.other file it gave me two errors about fbuf or something. If anybody else has had this problem and knows how to fix it please reply to this message (at phelpsbc@vhs.cms.k12.nc.us). I copied the makefile.win to makefile and did every thing just like the instructions said, then i put the MSVC++ dir in my path and ran nmake but like i said before, it got stuck on act.other +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
