     hmmm.... I wonder if OS's will swap out sections of executable that
     aren't being used?  Anyone know if this happens, or is it just a pipe
     dream and only happens with, maybe, the world code.

The issue is that there is a whole lot of overhead sitting there that's not
going to be used.  That's no way to reduce lag on your mud...
