We just installed Red Hat 5.0 and we have problems in compiling having the crypt feature turned on. Under Red HAt 4 we had no problems, our mud is fairly stable and our players file is made with crypted password. BUT, under Red Hat 5, when building Circle, we have the linker error unresolved crypt etc. etc. I've checked the code many times, even tried to define _GNU_SOURCE but nothing happens Anyone is running Circle with crypt turned on under RH 5? Anyone has run into this strange problem ? It seems to me that the problem is in RedHat, not in Circle Any suggestion will be useful TIA Kabir, coder of DalilaMUD --------------------------------------------------------------- | __ __ __ __ __ __ | | __ ( ) ___ ( ) __ ( \/ ) __ / _) __ ( ) | | / _) /__\ ( ,) )(__ / \ ) ( / \ ( (_ / _) )( | | ( (_ (_)(_) ) \ (____)( () ) (_/\/\_)( () ) \__)( (_ (__) | | \__) (_)\_) \__/ \__/ \__) | | | | mailto: mocci@tin.it | | http://volftp.tin.it/IT/IT/ITALIANI/MOCCI | | http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Palms/7010 | --------------------------------------------------------------- +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
