Hmm...I fixed a few things, or so I thought, recompiled, then did a world/zone wipe, put in three locations, remembered to reset the numbers in config.c, recompiled again, and turned it on. I was able to type in my name and password, then hit return at the imotd. Then I hit 1 to enter the game and KAPOW! the MUD was down with a Win95 GPF. I debugged and got the following: --------------------------------------------- Loaded 'C:\MPRPG\CIRCLMUD\CIRCLE30\circle.exe', no matching symbolic information found. Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\GDI32.DLL', no matching symbolic information found. Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\USER32.DLL', no matching symbolic information found. Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\URL.DLL', no matching symbolic information found. First-chance exception in circle.exe: 0xC0000005: Access Violation. --------------------------------------------- Unfortunately I'm such a newbie that I don't know what any of this means. I have tried numerous things, including a playerwipe. Anyone know what to do? Sorry to spam the list. -JW +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
