Your best solution is to make sure that the immort is removed from the OLC and cleaned up after when he loses link. Look for the code where the immort quits the editor about the cleanup process and follow that as a working example for cleaning up after link-dead immorts in the OLC. Not too hard, but needed to make the mud stable.
