>ok this may sound dumb to some of you but it is a general concern for me. >ok i have someone that has been idle if he has been idle for more than 5 >minutes autosave saves him in limbo so if the game crashes before he >returns and saves again then he will load in limbo. >Or if autosave is off and someone is in limbo and i want to shutdown reboot >i type force all save he is now saved in limbo and again will load there. >So is there a way to avoid this? GET_WAS_IN doesnt work i tried that >already. Also is ther a way to set autosave to send a message when saving? >Like "scorn has forced you to save" ? >Thanks >Scorn I think the easiest way for you to stop people from entering the game in limbo would be creating a check to see if the players loadroom is limbo then it changes it to the normal startroom for that player. Also, if you want to add a message when autosaving, add a line telling the player they are being saved in the function Crash_save_all from objsave.c. :) I would tell you where to put it but I don't have the code in front of me... just find a fitting place and add a act statement where appropriate. :) I hope this helps. :) ************************************************************* * Strider Aragorn, * WWW.Angelfire.com/ut/StriderA/ * * AKA Matt Jones. * or /ut/StriderA/Strider.html * ************************************************************* * ICQ: 6506437 * E-Mail: StriderA@Hotmail.Com * ************************************************************* ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
