Hello! I was checking all the code that requires player wipes (I know, it can be done with ASCII Pfiles, if you have them implemented) and I was wondering if anyone has thought of making a shell player editor that would act almost exactly as a text editor for ASCII pfiles. This would allow you to add the required fields if new ones are used while still keeping binary pfiles. I know the advantages of ASCII pfiles but no implementation has satisfied me yet, so I'm leaving it for later. But i was wondering about this in the meanwhile. This editor would read the pfile and would know the variables (would be compiled as a utility and would understand the pfiles) and it could be done to add missing fields automatically. Just wondering Eduo --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eduardo Gutierrez de Oliveira Mythago//On eduo@ciateq.mx ICQ# 3824675 Centro de Investigacion CIATEQ,A.C. -- MEXICO Research Center Queretaro General Electric Center of Excellence - Manager of Information Systems +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
