I was wanting to possibly port Circle fully to a windows GUI enviroment, but don't know much about the WinAPI. I don't want to learn MFC, but instead the actual WinAPI. My experience is in C, not C++. If anyone could point me to an online tutorial I'd be most grateful.. I know there is a fabulous book, but at AU$110, it is kinda out of my budget. ObCircle: I've got a bit of an idea. I want people to react more with NPCs than to just buy goods from them. So I thought about various NPCs in the cities that you can buy services from. Say you might like to hire out a mercenary from a bar or something like that. What I'm stuck on is I want to player to be able to control the NPC, but I want it to look to the other players that both the player and the NPC are actual people. I don't want to player to be dormant whilst the mercenary goes around town if you get me. You could hire butlers and maids and chefs etc. etc. What do people think?
