Problem with that is you'd have to change an awful lot of things to get all the objects too. It's been a while, but I remember I just re-wrote the existing "isname" to handle space-separated lists such as "keyword" blocks so it matches partial words from anywhere in the keyword block. That seemed like a pretty direct fix (all the changes were in one place) and has been working wonderfully for us. For some reason (and I'm afraid I just can't recall), I didn't use a tokenizer for this function (strtok) and I'm not totally certain my "new" isname function is as fast as it could be (shame on me!) but I'll send what I have if anyone's interrested. -C -----Original Message----- From: Invincibill <bill@LONGBOYS.NET> To: CIRCLE@post.queensu.ca <CIRCLE@post.queensu.ca> Date: Wednesday, February 10, 1999 6:08 PM Subject: Re: Old Patch & new address for CircleMUD Resources page >try the get_char_vis and other get_char** funcs in handler.c. >damn that was a long time ago. > >George wrote: >> >> On Tue, 9 Feb 1999, Nephanor of the Fraal wrote: >> >> >I am looking for the old patch that allows you to just type in part of >> >the name of a player or mob for a friend who is still running an old >> >bpl10 version.
