Recompiling should alleviate any 64 bit problems but the code stayed within 32 bit limits in all aspects on the alpha machine. I completely blew away all binary files when this moved occured and wiped the pfile. This is the only problem I can uncover related to the move. I am clueless on this one. I have tested and tested this with the same results each time. I cannot recreate this problem on the alpha machine. ?? CC -----Original Message----- From: Mark A. More specifically, I believe your code references either zone numbers or zone/object/room/mob vnums in different sizes and that under the alpha, either they were the same size (caused by different compiler defaults) or the difference was not significant. Sorry I can't help further; you'll need to do some hard core debugging to narrow things down better. I had to solve the same problem a few months ago, and it was not trivial. mah At 10:40 AM 8/5/99 -0700, you wrote: >I just moved some code from a alpha based RH 5.1 machine >to a intel based RH 6.0 machine.
