I just want to point out that for people who want to put the break/fix
(depending on perspective) into their MUD, there's nothing to stop them.
However, having the distribution itself _explicitly_ follow the standards
is the only leverage that the CircleMUD community has to ensure that fixes
occur.

Perhaps it should be added to the CircleMUD FAQ, so that people who take
the time to read documentation find out from which end the issue comes.

(sarcastically) But who reads FAQs, really?
