I am having the exact same problem.......Hmmmmm, wonder what gives? Not being an adept coder I haven't figured it out yet. I assumed it had to do with the "const" in the declaration of max_players. Once again, not being a coder, I was under the impression that "const" was a product of C++ rather than C & that this is causing the compile errors. Someone Puh-leeeeze educate me here. -----Ergo (the someday code expert but present code moron) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Del" <caminturn@EARTHLINK.NET> To: <CIRCLE@post.queensu.ca> Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2000 9:46 AM Subject: Re: [CIRCLE] [CIRCLE-OLC] compile error > I don't remember what the deal was with the undeclared > max_playing and/or socklen_t > > > Parse error = a missing ( ) { } or possibly a ; > > > > Nathaniel White wrote: > > > > heyas, > > I got this error but i cant seem to get rid of it, i get it when > > compiling the patch for OasisOLCv2.0. > > > > comm.c: In function 'get_max_players': > > comm.c:542: 'max_playing' undeclared (first use in this function) > > comm.c:542: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once > > comm.c:542 for each function it appears in.) > > comm.c: In function 'new_descriptor': > > comm.c:1192: 'socklen_t' undeclared (first use in this function) > > comm.c:1192: parse error before 'i' > > comm.c:1192: 'i' undeclared (first use in this function) > > make[1]: *** [comm.o] Error 1 > > > > > +------------------------------------------------------------+ > | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | > | http://qsilver.queensu.ca/~fletchra/Circle/list-faq.html | > +------------------------------------------------------------+ > +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://qsilver.queensu.ca/~fletchra/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
