You should download Cygwin. With Cygwin installed you can execute most Linux-like commands, such as diff and gdb through a regular dos prompt. It also allows you to run the server as if you had a Linux machine. If you have problems with installing Cygwin, please direct them to a newgroup or mailing list dedicated to Cygwin, and basic Linux questions should be directed to the appropriate list, id est, not to this list, since it deals with CircleMUD.
