Which makes one wonder why not diverge the code at some point, branch one way with the circle mission, and another with a codebase that disrupts the "backwards compatability" badly with things like the ascii pfiles, perl integration, etc. That way those folks who want to follow down the divergent path and take advantage of the new code can bang their heads into the wall trying to figure out what exactly has been done! Thus raising their CS GPA even more.
