Check it against RFC > describing ANSI codes. A slight correction: there is no RFC. The relevant standard is ECMA-048 or ISO 6429 -- they're the same. The ANSI (X3.64) standard was withdrawn a few years ago (and outdated even before that). That's actually rather fortunate, since ECMA standards are available for free download. The relevant link: http://www.ecma.ch/ecma1/STAND/ECMA-048.HTM Note that the standard uses a crackbrained character reference scheme of the form "xx/yy" (where xx is a column and yy the row in an ASCII table). Eric Raymond's ascii utility (on Unix) can translate these, available from here if you don't already have it: http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/ascii/ -dak -- +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | FAQ: http://qsilver.queensu.ca/~fletchra/Circle/list-faq.html | | Archives: http://post.queensu.ca/listserv/wwwarch/circle.html | | Newbie List: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/circle-newbies/ | +---------------------------------------------------------------+
