It worked by placing a tag in the description and then when the code found the tag it would substitute whatever was supposed to be there. I also submitted a patch a while back that was a generic string replacer where you specified the tag and it's replacements or a function where you could calculate a more dynamic on the fly replacement. as for the brushes thing you could put an object with a spec proc that would prevent passage in a given spot then when someone comes along and clears them just remove the brush object and viola everyone can follow until the zone reloads.
