I mean aside from the argument one.

  send_to_char(ch, "%c%s", UPPER(*i->short_description), i->short_description);

Yields:
Aa long sword is being worn by Gwydion.
Aa long sword is in the Training Room.
etc.

Change to:
  send_to_char(ch, "%c%s", UPPER(*i->short_description), (i->short_description)+1);
