Step 5: Calling Federal Express

Federal Express will provide you with an Airbill. Write 1736-2287-2 for "Recipient Account Number", and address the Airbill to

Fill out your name, the date, your telephone number, and your return address in the space provided. Make sure that "Bill Recipient Account" is selected as the method of payment.

Choose your shipping method:

If you want Scholastic Matchmakers Standard Service, check "Fedex Economy 2-Day Service". We will pay 100% of shipping charges.
If you want Scholastic Matchmakers Rush Service, check "FedEx Standard Overnight Service". We will bill you an extra $25 for Rush Service on your final invoice.

Do not choose "Priority" service.

When you are ready to ship your Answer Forms and School Information Form, call Federal Express at 1-800-GO-FEDEX to arrange a pickup. Press the appropriate key to speak to an operator. If you have never arranged a FedEx pickup before, tell the operator that you need assistance. If you need boxes or an Airbill, ask the operator to have the driver bring them to you.

Important note about FedEx

Federal Express has regular service to about 90% of the United States. However, if you live in a small town or very rural area, regular FedEx service may not be available. This could effect the guaranteed turnaround time for your fund raiser. If you think you may live outside regular service areas, ask the FedEx operator about your zip code.
