Most of the time it's pretty easy to duplicate a spec proc that you decide
that you like though. Although there are exceptions of course :)
On our test port (hopefully going up for real in a couple of weeks) we
have our "Smartmob" procs. Mobs pick up, wield and wear equipment
intelligently. PC's not sneaking have a chance to wake a sleeping mob,
And by a modification to how the mob files load we can assign mob skills
by just changing the mobile file. Mobs have access to anything a player
does by assigning them a skill or spell "sphere". All mobs have access
to this stuff so we can tack on a special proc as well. It was a lot of
fun to write but we'll have to see how well it playtests...but so far
it seems to be working well. It was probably a nasty surprise when the
bodyguards of one of the mobs started healing the mob the player was
fighting though. heh heh heh. :-)
