---------- From: owner-circle@pvv.unit.no on behalf of Paul Cole Sent: Thursday, June 22, 1995 9:06 PM To: circle@flipper.pvv.unit.no Subject: Re: item duping The theory here is that there are only a few ways to move items to and from players.. right? Get, drop, give, steal, and load are the most common. However, all of these functions rely upon a standard function to do the real work. At the lowest level these functions are probably called obj_from_char(...) and obj_to_char(...). --Paul pcole@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu -- shameless plug Stil @ Forbidden Lands <mud.cyberspace.com 5000/6000> Paul is right: The only truly required step would be to save after the obj_from_char (...) then you cover dropping and what-not and leave the obj_to_char(...) save up to the pc.
