Hi folks,
Having never even played a MUD before, I was surprised
when my boss decided that I had to set up and maintain
a MUD.
I had a quick look around (and had a few hours of what
I shall refer to as "research" :) and decided that Circle
Mud was the way to go.
CircleMUD does everything we require in a MUD almost
straight out of the box, except for some minor (or
maybe major) features, which are:
1/ We need a mail/message system that allows the
messages written to be transported to and from
a Usenet style message base.
2/ The ability to run external programs and/or
"shell out" from the mud.
3/ "hotkeys" style input in some areas.
Basically, we want the ability to emulate a BBS. Is
the above easily implemented into CircleMud?
Any input would be appreciated.
