Hi, I just wanted to say, that I just finnished making a neat little utility program (which seems bugless), that will strip ANY file for all those ^M's (\r's). I made it because some of my mud's players were repporting some wierd sceenoutput with spaces all over the screen. Generally a f*cked up output. After a little investigation I found that the crappy output was caused by ^M's (\r's in C) probably from someone editing the worldfiles in DOS and then transfering them to the Unix/Linux box in some wierd way. Anywayz, If anyone wants it, just bug me :) At some point it will probably be put on my webpage, but it's undergoing serious development at the time beeing, so don't expect it there if you look :=P Simply mail me, and you'll get a copy of it (the .c file ofcoz (compiles nicly as a mud-util)). Think thats it :) Regards, Con. Btw. Alex/Jeremy, if you want to look at it for possible inclusion in the Cirlce distribution just bug me for a copy too :) (I think it would be pretty handy myself... *shrug*) d. -- Rasmus Rønlev DOEK'94 WWW: http://www.econ.cbs.dk/people/raro94ab Student instructor MUD: exiled.mud.circlemud.org 5000 199.199.16.100 5000 Student, B.Sc in Computer Science and Business Administration. +-----------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://cspo.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list_faq.html | +-----------------------------------------------------------+
