I seem to be causing bugs in my MUD without knowing it, and I can always trace it back to some pointer not being reset to NULL after I free it. It seems that sometimes, when you do a free(), it resets the pointer that was passed in to NULL, and sometimes it doesn't. Is there any rule to this?, or should I just continue putting a X = 0 after every free that I use? Thanx fer any help. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Baumstark: shirak@connect.ab.ca cst0656@nait.ab.ca Forsaken Realms: telnet://drewl.v-wave.com:4000 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
