Try setting the mob's damroll to zero, and Number_of_dice d size_of_dice to
1d1.
Increase its hp by a bit, and the fight should last for a while, with the
mob doing hardly any damage to the newbie, and the newbie's damage not
making much of a dent in the mob's newly souped up hp.
