This was discussed on the moderated circle list a couple of weeks ago :) There are several ideas, mine was to basically copy the house commands, making them inn commands and setting a ROOM_PLR_INN flag which gets set on the player's inn. Then when the player logs back on, check if they are logging on in a PLR_INN, and if so, instead of just sending the rent money to the void, send it to the owner's bank account. Actually, you'd probably only want to send a fraction of it (say 10%-20%) to their bank, since some of it goes to taxes, some of it to maintainence, some of it to wages of inn employees, etc. Of course, you'd have to add a few new commands, like on to let the owner set a rent rate.
