I've seen some discussion about this and a good idea is to make all that automatic. If they try to pick something up and their hands are full, stick their weapon in their belt for them. Make "take" get the rock and put it in a pocket or pouch and rewield or rehold. Let them use "get" to grab something and hold it, in case they want to try it out or examine closely. You can make it realistic without making it unplayable. It just takes some extra coding. It might actually add a little something to the game, if a player has to think carefully about whether he really wants to take the time to pick up his dropped dagger when he's holding a ferocious bear at bay with his sword ;) Sam +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
