I finally got around to checking out George's excellent work on Oasis, and decided to check ou the latest Oasis patch. I got 1.5pre13, and instead of hand-patching it (like a usually do), I decided to say a short prayer, and let the system do it. The main reason that I did this was because of the sheer size of the patch. Anyways, after typing 'patch < olc.pre13', I got the tons of messages about failed hunks (not a surprise at all), and at the very end, I got: patch: **** misordered hunks! output would be garbled I didn't know what to think about that, so I got a fresh copy of 1.5pre13 and snagged 1.5pre12 while I was at it. The new copy of 13 and the copy of 12 are both giving the same error at the end. Any idea what it means, and did the patch finish going all the way through the file? Also, if it did NOT continue with the patch-job, would it be added to the .rej files? Thanks for any insight, John Evans <evansj@hi-line.net> May the source be with you. +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
