This is a copy of a message I got from one of the IMM's on my mud tonight. I won't have time to look into it for a couple days anyway, so I guess I'm just Asking for some opinions here... ......................................................................... Problem Once the mud gets to around connection number 40-50, it stops accepting players and will only let them on the mud 1 at a time, which means if 1 person is logged on, that no one else can log on at that time, anyone else logging in will connect and get immediatly disconnected, which would look like a ban from thier POV (first time i say it i thought i was banned....was going to log on through an alternate telnet route and open a can of whoopass on whoever banned me *laugh*) According to a friend of mine, it is due to the mud not closing the files of the mud like it should after accessing them. So, IMHO, there is a bug somewhere in db.c where it closes player files. I dont know how to code or i woud have fixed it ............................................................................ Think he's right? Or might it be due to the fact that I now have purgeplay running before the mud boots in autorun?
