Check the version of MkLinux you are running. According to the updates page (http://www.mklinux.apple.com/MkLCurrent/updates/), shared libraries weren't really supported until DR2.1 update 3. I think libdl is part of libc, so if it doesn't work with the latest MKLinux distribution, you might want to try using glibc 2 (PPC is not supported in 2.0.x, but is supposed to be in the developmental 2.1).
