yeah i managed with windows 95 and visual c++ 5.0 ... took a literal crap load of time... 16 hrs /day all thanksgiving vacation.... and thats with a professional compiler and following directions.... with a shareware or freeware although its possible , its going to take forever. yeah i know, there is probably someone out there who spent about 5-10 mins to compile it, but for some reason i just had lots of errors esp after trying to implement OLC..... anyways, if you are looking for something that is already pre-compiled, has built-in OLC, and runs without errors the FIRST TIME in windows 95, get UltraENvy codebase, or envy 2.2 you can get it, pre-compiled for win95, somewheres around here: http://www.game.org/cgi-bin/directory/ from there, click on diku, merc, and then search around for it.... look for a directory labeled envy, then windows, then 'home-cooked envy' or UE. i forgot where it is specifically, but i know its on there. -dmitri At 08:43 PM 12/15/97 -0500, you wrote: >Has anyone gotten CircleMUD to compile and run under Windows 95, with a freeware >or shareware compiler? I do not have the money to invest in some of the better ones, and I have given up on Gnu Win 32..
