For your information, while gcc, for the most part, follows the ANSI standard, it does not do so to the letter. For instance, the ANSI C standard does not define a way for zero-length arrays. 'gcc' does. And, last I checked, a terminating 'break' was required. In fact, older versions of 'gcc' warned about unterminated 'case' statements.
