Yes, I realize about the tick, and how long it is, etc... I did set up a backup copy of my MUD on a different port, and changing the SECS_PER_MUD_HOUR to one doesn't seem to work...I don't regen at all, it seems. I didn't take a good look at it, however, so I'm sure theres something else I'll need to do. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how effective/useful it would be to put a MUD on a realtime schedule, whereas one MUD hour is the same as one real-life hour. Would certainly make weather patterns, etc... interesting. :) [ Tadrith Skandrakae, Implementor of Dreamscape ] [ - telnet://mud.dreamscape.org:1234/ - ] ["I lay my dreams before your feet; ] [ tread softly, for you tread on my dreams. ] +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
