Head over to www.zuggsoft.com and check out the developers forum and the MXP idea. The basic thought is to figure out a communication protocol between a mud and a client that will allow for the spawning of windows and the exchange of data. This sounds wonderful for OLC, shop lists, who_lists, and other interesting features. This is and idea simular to MSP (Mud Sound Protocol). How would you like, during combat, for the mud to send your, your opponents, and your tanks condition to a separate window that you can use a right-button menu to do things too? --Angus ______________________________ Forward Header __________________________________ Subject: [OFFLINE EDITORS][WINDOWS]Clipboard formats Author: INTERNET:CIRCLE@POST.QUEENSU.CA at CSERVE Date: 4/29/98 10:03 AM I am about to add cut/copy/paste to my offline editor, and I am wondering how many other offline editors have done this. I'm assuming since I've seen lots of ads for editors here, that the authors are listening (You can expect an ad for mine soon.) What I'd like to do is get together (through e-mail or ICQ) with the other authors of offline editors, and build a standard clipboard format so that a user could cut and paste between two different editors. Any ideas about this you can e-mail me (shirak@connect.ab.ca) or ICQ me (1577971) +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://democracy.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list-faq.html | +------------------------------------------------------------+
