i have hand patched in the alias.patch(patches for interpreter.c, db.h, act.other.c) from the circlemud ftp, without any errors when i compile. but of course aliases still dont save. i have created the directory where the alias are supposed to be saved in, and when i enter that directory there are files that match the characters names, which contains the player's aliases which have been saved there... but they dont seem to load. when quiting i get the messages 'now saving aliases' 'aliases saved, go in peace', and when entering the game the messages 'loading aliases...' 'Done.', even appear, but they dont actually load.
