Yep. I've added a new position for a dual wield system I have on my MUD.
It's working fine for me and works w/o any problems at all in the OLC too.
Not sure though why medit crashes for you. All I did was basicly like you
did it. I checked where wield was and added dual_wield. I think though that
there is 1 or 2 things that needs to be added that you might have to search
manually in act.item.c for.
Try to remove it all and redo it. Sometimes you find what you did wrong
then. :)
