Okay I'm noticing that Oasis uses descriptor_data instead of char_data. Why is this? I've had better luck poking around in Oasis, thanx to Patrick's explination, and have actually been able to 'see' how the menus work now. My question really pertains to my turn based, menu driven combat; do I need to use descriptor_data to implement the menu based combat or is it safe to add something to the char_data structure to accomidate my needs for this purpose?
