On the little known eighth day of creation, God created revision control. There's a whole epistle about it out there, somewhere, lost to the sands of time. However, while the sacrosanct status of revision control is on academically dubious standing, its wonders are still available for all to enjoy. That all translates to: RCS/CVS/etc. are *good*. They help you. Especially when you have many developers or are in the habit of coding at 2am. A quick stab at an RCS tutorial on Google turned up: http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~dbutler/tutorials/winter96/rcs/ I used the search criteria, "RCS tutorial" and got 13500 results. One of those should be useful, if that one isn't. -dak -- +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | FAQ: http://qsilver.queensu.ca/~fletchra/Circle/list-faq.html | | Archives: http://post.queensu.ca/listserv/wwwarch/circle.html | | Newbie List: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/circle-newbies/ | +---------------------------------------------------------------+
