Whenever I play a thief, my primary use of backstab is to bring down mobiles that I would normally be killed by or get badly fucked up by. The bs/flee/bs/flee/bs loop can really bring down a mob. Even worse with multi-class muds that have a 'calm' spell is a bs/calm/bs/calm loop. You can't put pauses everywhere. Still, IMHO spell casting should be timed and if you backstab and flee you should gain less exp for the kill (but not loose any if you backstab and stay in the fight for a few more rounds). -- Daniel Koepke dkoepke@california.com Forgive me father, for I am sin. +-----------------------------------------------------------+ | Ensure that you have read the CircleMUD Mailing List FAQ: | | http://cspo.queensu.ca/~fletcher/Circle/list_faq.html | +-----------------------------------------------------------+
